IT'S OUR ANNIVERSARY....

MONDAY - APRIL 26TH

Although I know that Carlos does not read this blog, I want to say that you have been the best thing to happen to me in a long time. (children excluded of course!)  Even though we have our ups and downs, and we have gone through some rough times, we always seem to come out on top!  You help make me a better person, and you give me the support to move forward and achieve my dreams.  God blessed me and the kids when he allowed us to come together and create this wonderful family we now have.  I love you and pray that we celebrate many more anniversaries and that we continue to grow and support one another.

So, because our anniversary fell on a monday... we celebrated Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday!!!  We spent monday together enjoying being in love and married to the person that makes me whole.  Nothing super exciting was done, but its nice to spend some time with my hubby.  Tuesday we had dinner at home, take-out chinese... yummmm my favorite! Not very conducive to my diet, but oh well.. there's always tomorrow!  hee hee hee.... Wednesday we went out for Mexican... yeah, I drank one too many margaritas as you will see...

Aren't we cute!!!

yummmy....

yeah, I had to get a pic with the clown... margaritas will do that to you, oh is it only me?

hee hee hee... he looks scared in this one!

Any hooo, that was our celebration... good times!

Still catching up....

OMG this has been a ridiculously busy week, again for me... and yet I feel like I have accomplished absolutely nothing.

First of a week ago was April vacation week for the kids... I had plans of parks, pulling out the bikes, maybe hitting the movies and lots of lots of crafts.  Do you want to know how much of that I actually accomplished?  ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!  Yup I fail once again at doing fun productive stuff with the kids during vacation.

Ok, so I will give you a run down of the weeks events:

MONDAY
Monday was a crappy day... it was rainy and cloudy... overall just not a nice day.  I had rented New Moon to watch with Isabel, so we vegged while we watched the movie.  OMG I am soo gonna read those books now... yes I am the ONLY person on the planet that has not yet read the books, fail again.  But I love the movies, which means I will be completely enthralled with the books.  My summer reading list has begun!  After the movie, the sun came out and the kids immeadiately headed to the playground across the street (its in the building complex, and I can see them from the window).  They played until they could not play anymore.  Meanwhile, back at the ranch... Sebastian has been working on coordinating his amry man crawl/on the knees crawl.  This boy is getting good!!!  He now manages to squirm his way over to the toys and things he deems intersting.

Dinner was not exciting, chicken with rice and spaghetti, Ty's favorite.  Then baths, some tv and the kids were off to bed.  I managed to stay up until about 11:30pm and then conked out on the rocker.

TUESDAY

The weather was much nicer... the kids hit the playground at 9:30am.  Can I tell you how nice and convenient it is to have the playground right across the way from the apartment AND that I can see it from the window!  So while they played, I did school work, I cleaned my apartment, I vaccumed and watched Sebastian get better at crawling.  Amazing how kids learn and progress without our help.  Carlos and I took Sebastian over to the playground for a little bit and played with him on the swings. and a bit on the slide.  He was not so fond of the slide though.    So we played a bit more on the swings, then headed in for dinner.  I can not recall at this moment what I made for dinner, but I remember it was good adn they all ate it and liked it.

WEDNESDAY
Wednesday we planned on taking my uncle's car up to the auto auction and try to sell it, but unfortunately the car upon trying to start it, began to smoke and make a weird noise... I thought it was going to explode, so we left it alone and changed our plans.  Instead we took the kids out for ice cream and the local dairy place... soooo yummy.  This dairy farm makes their own ice cream in the most lucious of flavors, I had razzleberry burst (vanilla ice cream with raspberry jam, and raspberry truffles), Isabel had chocolate chip cookie dough, Tyler had Monster Mash (vanilla ice cream with M&Ms, whoopers, and some other yummy candy) and Carlos had Mango Tango (vanilla and mango ice cream).  I love ice cream!!!   Then we came home, took Isabel to softball practice at 4:30pm- because she insisted it was a scrimage and it was at 4:30!!!  Well, after getting there at 4pm to help her warm up a little, and then when it was 4:45 and NO ONE had shown yet, I decided to call her coach.  (NOTE: call the coach should be the first thing you do!)  Well, I got his voicemail, so I thought to myself.. "ok, he must be on his way" NOPE... he called me back to say that practice was at 5:30!!!  OK... let's go!  Off to noni's house, and she or their dad could take her back to her practice.

THURSDAY
Thursday is auto auction day!  We got up at 6:45am, and got ready, actually sent Carlos to go get my mom so she could help watch the kiddies.  We hit the road at 8am... got to the auction at 9:10am and let the fun begin! So let me tell you.... this is a mad house!!!  There are 6 lanes of cars all being auctioned off at the same time, approximately one car per lane per minute!  We are trying to get our business off the ground, and I love the excitement!

So we picked up another car... a nice civic... take a look.

So.... what do you think?  I love it... its really cute and runs really nice.

Then we ran home to save my mom from the kids, got them ready to be dropped off to dance and their noni's, respectively, and then we were off to the ranch.  We didn't do anything else that night.

FRIDAY

I'd like to tell you that I actually remember this day clearly... but I don't.  I remember now... I took my mom to Worcester for an MRI on her ankle that she broke in January, then ran from Worcester up to New Hampshire, almost a hour and a half drive, to pick up the paperwork on the new car (see yesterday), then immediately left and took off back to Worcester to pick up my mom, then run hometo make dinner for the family.  About a half hour after getting home, Carlos called to say he was on his way to so we could drive BACK up to NH to pick up the car now that I had the paperwork... so off we went!  We didn't get home until 10:30pm!  I spent almost 7 hours in the car!!! I was exhausted... I got home sat in the rocker to watch the new and crashed.

SATURDAY

Saturday was the first nonbusy day for me.  We took the kids over to my dad's and had a BBQ of sorts... at 7pm!!!  My dad's idea of a BBQ is to reel in unsuspecting victims to help with the yard work!  I'm sooo onto his plan, and since I didn't do jack at home, I didn't do jack there either! Which apparently no one was happy about, but too bad!

After the BBQ I went home with the kids, got them showered and in bed, because sunday we had soccer and softball... both at 12pm!!! hmmm... still trying to figure out how I was going to do that.

SUNDAY

Saturday was fun!  Isabel had her opening day ceremony for softball at noon, THE EXACT SAME TIME AS TYLER'S SOCCER GAME.  So I piled the three kids into my car with sports equipment in tow... and ran off to the lassie league fields.  Isabel was so excited, and we got there early for once... so she ran off to find her team. I figured I'd wait until the ceremony started, I'd watch her run out and then I'd run off to drop of Tyler at his game which was only a mile down the road.  Then I would run back and grab Isabel and go back to catch the end of Tyler's game.  WELL  had the ceremony started on time, that would have happened.  BUT the ceremony started 15 minutes late, so I watched Isabel and then ran off to get Tyler to his game just in time to be there for the start of his game.

Then as I was just getting his stuff in order, Isabel called me to say she was already to be picked up!  Luckily, just then their dad showed up so I sent him off to pick her up and watched Tyler's game as he scored a great goal.

Then we ran off to the house when the game was done, got the kiddies fed and changed (well Tyler at least).  then we were off again to go to Isabel's first softball game of the season, at 4pm.  the day was kinda sucky... it started off fairly nice, not too cold.  But by the time 5pm rolled around it was cold, windy and looked like it  was gonna rain!  Fun times I tell ya!  Anyways... the game was exciting!  Final score was 12-12!!! They hit the ball great, made great plays and overall played awesome for the first game.  This season seems to be an interesting one in the making.

After the game we headed home, grabbed some pizza and showered and send everyone off to bed early so they could go back to school on monday!

AND that my friends it the catch up of  last  week!!!

Weekend update

So, lots happened this weekend even though I really didn't plan much.  First off, the weather forecast was sucky!!!  Three days of crappy, cold, rainy AND possibly snowy weather.  I decided that I was going to hide in my apartment until the sun came back and the rain as gone.   Isabel and Ty were heading off to their dad's house all weekend.   Friday was the annual father-daughter dance at Johnny Appleseed, this year's theme was 50's sock hop.  I'm kinda sad I couldn't see Isabel all dressed up, but thems are the breaks.  Hopefully 'll see a pic of her sometime soon.  From what she told me it sounds like she had a great time.

So, I holed up all day friday, god I absolutely hate the cold and rain!!!  But saturday I had signed up to participate in a speed knitting contest.  I found a local knitting/crocheting circle called Warmer Winters, they makes all kinds of items for local charities.  This was there second annual speed knitting contest, and I was in!!!  I'm not really all that quick, but what the heck I was making for charity.  We knitted scarves with one skein and their own hand made knitting needles.  Well... let me tell you, I need to practice more!! The first place winner finished her scarf in 1 hour 22 minutes!!! She was knitting an average of one row of 12 stitches every 21 seconds.   I sooo need to practice.  But I finished in 2 hours 33 minutes, not bad but not great.  I now havce a bench mark that I can work on.

Let me note that the speed knitting contest was at 9:30am until 12pm, I actually hauled my lazy butt up and out into crappy 38 degree rainy weather. I am very proud of myself since #1- I am not a morning person... and #2 I am not a "get and go in the cold" person.  But it was for charity and I figured it would be a great way to meet more fellow knitters/crocheters.   I also liked the fact they donate all items to local charities, and there is also a lot of local business that support them and donate to them.

So after all that fun, I went home and snuggled in bed with Carlos.... who doesn't love to snuggle with their sweetie on a cold rainy morning?  So we vegged until about 3pm.  At which point we both decided we needed to do something.  So we got up, showered, ate something, then we got a surprise visit from my dad and his wife.  So with nothing better to do, we decided to go bowling- GALACTIC BOWLING!   So cool!!!  if you hav never done this, you should!!!  Its all black lights, flourescent colors and great music.  We had a blast, we bowled for about two hours, then headed home.

At home, Carlos, Sebas and I cuddled under some blankets and watched some movies... then off to sleep.

Sunday, another crappy day... at least the morning was.  I made breakfast for us and kinda dragged my butt around a bit.  I'm trying to remember what I did, but I'm drawing a blank!!!

Oh... the big highlight of the day.... Sebastian has become mobile, well army man crawl mobile!!!  He;s been rollong from place to place for the last month, but on sunday he made his first forward motions!

I recall having knit a lot because it was crappy out, but that's about it.

hmmm. maybe I should have posted this on sunday night to have remembered what  did! hee, hee, hee!!!

:o)

Saturday 9- Have I Told You Lately That I Love You

Saturday 9: Have I Told You Lately That I Love You

I know that this is a second Saturday 9, and that it's not Saturday... but I liked this one so I'm throwing you a freebie!  Link up with Samantha and check out some other Saturday 9ers!

1. When was the last time (in a romantic setting) you have told someone that you loved them?

This past week I told my husband that I loved him, because the feeling welled up in my heart and I had to say it.

 2. Tell us about your very first romantic kiss.

I think that every "first" kiss is romantic in its own special way... but the first kiss with Carlos was romantic because we had been dating online... and I took a trip to Barranquilla to meet him and see if we wanted to actually try to have a real relationship.  He picked me up at the airport and my heart nearly jumped out of my chest, he was the most decent gentleman, he gave me a hug and a peck on the cheek.  I was kinda shocked that he didn't try to kiss me, but I liked that.  He had come with friends, and since it was still light out and hot (as it always is in Barranquilla) he asked if I wanted to go to the beach.  So off we all headed and we listened to music, laughed and drank, then I just had to run into the water... but I'm petrified of sharks so I made him hold my hand as I walked into the ocean.  I remember the sun was setting a gorgeous pink over the horizon, and he pulled me into his arms, as we talked, I just was captivated by his eyes and I leaned in and then he kissed me.  I swear that I forgot we had other people around us, that we were in the water, it was as if time had stood still.  That was my most romantic kiss in MANY years.

3. What was/is your idea of the perfect date?

My idea of a perfect date, is to be with someone I love or really like, and just be together enjoying our company.

4. What music would you prefer when you are “getting it on”?

hee hee hee... I tend to block all else out when "I'm getting it on"!!!

5. What is the most amazing experience you’ve ever shared with a partner?

I think that the most amazing experience I've shared was with my husband and that was at the birth of our son.... it was one of a kind and better than anything I've ever shared.

6. Sex is best saved for: love, marriage, alcohol, days that end in “y”?

Days that end in "y" definitely!!!

7. Have you ever kissed a stranger?

ummm, I try to avoid running up to random strangers and laying one on them.

8. What's missing from your life?

Nothing really, I'm very happy where I am right now.

9. Are you a giver or taker?

Definitely a giver... and I am usually giving more than what others deserve, but that is how I roll.

So, leave me a comment if you are playing so I can check out your answers... I really like this meme.

:oP

Saturday 9: Kicks (Keep Getting Harder to Find)

Saturday 9: Kicks (Keep Getting Harder To Find)

1. As you get older, do you find that kicks are harder to find?

Nope... I get my kicks whenever I can... and I always find them... just ask!

2. Who is your favorite relative and why?

I think my favorite relative has to be my.....  hmmmm good question!  I think my cousin Jasmine, she's older, but she's so much fun, and laid back... I can talk to her and not feel like I'm talking to a parent.  I love her she's great!

3. Who is the most important person in your life?

My kids are the most important persons in my life.  Hands down... Life has already taught me better!

4. Name one thing you used to do that you are not proud of.

Hmmm... I'm a BIG flirt... uh hmmm, I mean a USED to be a big flirt.  To the point that I was a huge tease... I was never into promiscuity, but I led many a poor man to believe that they would get more than they were really gonna get!

5. Tell us about the furthest you've ever been from what you consider "home".

The furthest away was when I lived in Colombia for 6 months when I was 14.

6. Who would you want to be locked in a room with for 24 hours?

My hubby... hee hee hee.... need I say more??

7. What are you doing this weekend?

Since this was for this past saturday.... I really had no plans, the kids were with their dad, so usually I veg at home with Carlos and the baby.

8. Other than your own, whose car were you in last?

Carlos'... I'm usually in his or mine.

9. Tell us about the last compliment that you've received.

At the speed knitting contest I was in on Saturday, I showed a woman a pic of the kids, and she looked at me in awe and asked if I started having kids when I was 10!!!  She thought I was in my early twenties... God Bless her soul... that's a compliment I'll take anyday.

So.... leave a comment if you're playing, or just if you're reading.

Hi! Remember me?

No?  You don't remember me?  Oh, don't worry... I'll help you out!

Yeah, I know, I fail at this blog thing.  But my life has been insane for the last couple of weeks.  So I will try to catch you up to semi-speed on my busy life.

So first of all Friday (two weeks ago) Tyler had his mother/son BINGO game.  It was so much fun, its for grades K and 1... the rest of the school has a mother/son basketball game.  So Ty and I played bingo, and we had a blast!  granted it was only one hour, but it was soo nice to do something just me and Ty.  All the kids got a prize regardless of whether or not they won.  It was cool, all these boys with their moms  and everyone was smiling and laughing.  Can you tell that I had a good time?  hee hee hee.

Can you tell which of these prizes was his favorite??? I'll give you a hint... its got the super heroes.

Ummm... if I remember correctly, that weekend the kids were with their dad.  So Carlos and I chilled at home and I believe we visited my dad.  Wow... I know, you can hardly contain yourself from all the excitement.  Thus is my life!

SATURDAY and SUNDAY

Ok, that weekend the kids were with their dad... and THANK GOD!!! Isabel had a cookie booth sale at 10am.... and I DIDN'T HAVE TO GO!!!  But I went and bought my cookies... I love me my cookies.

Aren't they sweet!!!

The girls I mean!!!  hee hee hee....

Now... that is the last weekend of March...  I think I spent the weekend at my dad's enjoying the weather and having BBQ as its finally warmed up enough to sit out and grill!  Yea!!!!

The following week is quite the blur... I believe there was a lot of school work, Yes I am taking college courses towards another degree.  I had a lot of normal running around to do with the kids...

Mondays- Isabel and Ty get off the buss at 3:30pm and Isabel has to go to dance at 4pm... so we run off to that, then come home make dinner, run back to pick up Isabel at 6:30pm.

Tuesdays- nothing

Wednesday- the kids go have dinner with their dad

Thursday- Ty goes to dad's afterschool... Isabel goes to HipHop class from 4-5pm then GirlScouts 6:30-8pm every other week. Then Isabel goes to her dad's to spend the night... every other weekend they stay over their dad's.

Friday- depends on the week, but usually I spend a good 2 hours yelling at both kids to pick up!!!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, Easter was in there... but nothing big to report as the kids were with their dad, so the easter bunny did not come to our house this year.  Sad, yes I know.  But Carlos Sebastian is still too young for stuff like that, but oh well... next year will be more fun.  We went to church, then went to my dad's house and had an Easter cook out, Yes I did say cook out... I know.  I too thought it was quite getto, but that's how we roll!  Deal... ;op

Here I am all decked out in my Easter best!  Sooo snazzy... (as my son says now)

Here's Sebas with Papa (my dad)

Here's Mamia (my mom).  I took her for a haircut and I colored it for her as we had our Easter BBQ.
Again a little getto, , but what can you do!

This ball of hair is Munchie, a/k/a a dog in desperate need of a grooming.
Don't worry he got one, I'll post a pic a little later.

Here's Sebas listening attentively to a conversation that has nothing to do with him... but he's sooo cute!

This past saturday (4/10) Isabel went horseback riding with Girl Scouts... they learned all about how to take care of horses and then how to brush them, then went a ride. Oh yeah, let me make this little side note... DO NOT TAKE A BUNCH OF 10 YEAR OLDS TO A FACILITY THAT TELLS THEM THEY CAN GET HORSES FOR FREE AND IT IS NOT THAT EXPENSIVE TO CARE FOR THEM.  With that I will allow you to figure that all the girls now want horses.

After that we went to the New England Aquarium in Boston... fun times... I love me the Macaroni Penguins!!!

Aren't they ADORABLE!!! I think its the crazy puffs of hair that does it for me.

AND with that I will have caught you up to this weekend.  Don't worry, I have posts for JUST the aquarium and Isabel's Girlscout outing thing...
But right now, if you haven't already fallen asleep, I think you must be praying for the end!

:oP
