Sports, sports, sports

This spring should be loads of fun... both of my kids are in sports, Tyler is playing soccer again and Isabel is trying out softball. I love it because they are glued to the computer, DS, Gameboy or tv, BUT now I have softball practice saturdays, games 3-4 days a week (WTF!), dance on mondays and saturday mornings, Chorus on thursday after school, Girl Scouts every other tuesday (one month left), and Tyler has soccer on sundays.

Oh yeah... that's Isabel's schedule by the way! Nevermind she is super slacking in school and I'm trying to get her to improve her grades this semester. So on top of the dance clases, the girl scout meetings, chorus and now softball apparently every other day, she has to manage to do her home work. Which may I add for a fourth grader is near non-exisitent. Don't get me started, I'm saving that one for another post!

But on the up side, I get to be the proud momma and cheer my super star athletes on at their respective games.

Tyler's first soccer game of the season was last sunday, he scored 3 goals! I was late getting to the game so I missed them, but Isabel insisted they were fantastic!

I realize that this video is a bit long, but my baby is worth it! He's number 11 on the Red Team and although it doesn't show any goals, it shows his fancy foot work and blocking skills! That's my boy!

Isabel has her first softball game this sunday at 1pm right after Tyler finishes his soccer game that starts at 12pm! Dear lord help me as I have to go to the other side of town to get from one field to the next.

I did manage to get some pics of her at practice this past week... I'll post some video of her swinging away this weekend.

Easter! (a week and a half later)

Ok, so I am S L O W L Y playing catch and trying to remember all the fun and cute things that happened over Easter, and the wonderfully interesting post I was going to write that all would ooh and ahh over... BUT you get this instead.

I'm gonna do the best I can to remember what the hell happened two weekends ago, and recount it as best as I can. I am pregnant after all and you're lucky I know who I am half the time.

I DO REMEMBER that I wanted to strangle my wonderfully lovely children by the end of the day on Saturday! Let me tell you... I love my kids... BUT they gave me HELL! If I told them not to do it... it got done. If I told them to do it, you can bet the farm (if you had one) that it was NOT getting done. They fought, they yelled, the hit, the screamed, the just made it their mission to make me want to give them away... and I would have had I not know for certain I would have gotten them back 5 minutes later! (just kidding... jeez!)

Anyways... we began our Easter weekend on Good Friday by hanging out at home, they went out to the park and played for a bit, until Tyler got cold and decided he was better off inside watching some Disney Channel with me.

The night before I had gone to Michaels to get some last minute things to finish their Easter Baskests, and had picked up some
Crayola Air Dry Modeling Clay. My idea was to have the kids make some Easter decorations, ie bunnies, chicks or ducks to put on our table to spruce up the joint!

I like this stuff by the way, very easy to use, non-toxic, very easy to clean up, and DOES not stick to the rugs!

Well I got Tyler started and he LOVED it! He made the cutest easter duck on earth... and of course... I didnt' get a picture of it because I suck like that (tomorrow... check back tomorrow). He painted it and we glued it together and then glued googley eyes on and some feathers. I am very proud of my boy, he did a great job.

Isabel decided friday was not a good day for crafts, and instead spent the day playing outside with her friends... that's cool. At least I had some alone time with Tyler which doesn't happen all that often.

Saturday, this was the day from Hell! It started off good enough, my hubby went to work, and I stayed with the kids. We had some pancakes for breakfast and watched it rain, and rain, and rain! What is up with the crappy weather! Oh well... I had crafting to do.

Uh huh, then Isabel started working on her bunny, and Tyler started playing with the clay. All was great... THEN Isabel's friend called, "Hi, can I came over?" SURE!!! What the hell is wrong with me???? This girl is like a hurricane in my house. When she comes over, isabel is a major BIATCH, does not listen, she is rude, she is mean (all qualities she seems to mysteriously acquire when her friend comes over.... ). So I had the two girls playing with the clay and painting their pieces so we could put them together.

I do recall stating "please do not play with the paints, I will put them out for you when your ready so we don't make a huge mess on my table" . At least I think I said that...

Can I tell you I scrubbed paint off my table for about an hour! These two 9 year old girls made more of a mess than my 5 year old son! I had hunks of clay on the floor, paint all over the table, they broke out my glitter... dear lord, I was ready to kill them both!

Anyways... that pretty much ended my patience, followed by the mess they made of both Isabel's and Tyler's room, then the fact that no one wanted to pick up said mess... i hate this part of being a parent, really I do! I hate the nagging and the yelling and the threats... all of which spew out of my mouth and make me sound like some sort of crazy mad pregnant woman... oh wait.. hee hee hee.

Any how, the friend went home, the kids picked up, Tyler popped in "Doogal" the absolute cutest movie I got from a bootlegger, cuz I have no shame! and we painted some Easter Eggs... because I wait until the last possible moment to do everything!

At this point, I could see them winding down and with little or no energy left, so I said "hey why don't you guys get your pajamas on and get ready for bed?" sounded like a plan to me. NOPE, We are waiting for the Easter Bunny... we want to see what he's bringing... and about 5 minutes later, this was the scene I beheld.....

Even though the fell asleep and totally missed the Easter Bunny's arrival, the bunny is a good guy and dropped off some goodies to the sleeping hellions... I mean angels.

Then Sunday was the usual, church, food, kids playing outside in the cold and more food.

So here are a couple more pics to end this novel sized post.

BTW I made the BOMB strawberry shortcake for dessert! whoa baby... my new favorite dessert, with home made whipped cream and all!

AND that's it.... for now!

better picture???

Ok, so I said I was going to provide a better belly pic and I swear I tried... but I sucked at taking my own pic today... sorry... this is what you get......

So first of all, pay no attention to the fact that I am standing infront of a trash barrel and hand dryer in the ladies bathroom... (I fail at noticing backgrounds)

Secondly... PLEASE disregard the fact that I got up late this morning and thought that going sans makeup was a smart idea! WTF I look like crap!

So this is the state of my belly at 24 weeks pregnant... I look and feel like a beach ball.

6 months

Here is my 6 month belly pic... its a little blurry, my hubby was being lazy and didn't want to stand to take the pic, so I'll get a better one tonight and add to the post.

I will hopefully get a picture of baby "hiding"... he likes to turn his back towards mine and I don't even look pregnant as opposed to the huge belly in this picture! Seriously! No joke... I look fat when he does this and no one even suspects I'm pregnant... which I must say is not a good thing!

Stay tuned for a better pic, and me playing catch up now that I've been able to upload pics.

Wordless Wednesday

Beam me up Scotty!

are you playing? link up here...

why are things so complicated???

So I was already to post about our exciting (not really) Easter weekend, filled with pictures and quick thoughts... WELL... apparently my laptop is not cooperating and does not want to work.

Apparently my ANCIENT laptop has no more hard drive room, and I can not upload my pictures from this past weekend without first going through and deleting a bunch of crap of it to allow it to now think and say... ahhh yes, I will accept these pictures.

SOOOOO my post will have to wait until tomorrow, because otherwise I could bore you completely to death just blah, blah, blah, blahinng.

:0) Sooooooo hold on and wait for tomorrow!

still not caught up...

I STILL feel like I haven't caught up on my sleep yet! For starters, this baby is draining all the energy from me, and it usually begins somewhere around 2pm! I start to get sleepy and want to just lay down under my desk and take a nap.

Then of course there was sunday night when poor Isabel was up throwing up every 45 minutes from 2am until almost 7am! Poor thing, but luckily it was a 24 hour bug and she was fine come monday night... but not being able to sleep all night killed me! I have been completely run down since then.

I'm hoping I can recoop this weekend and try to catch some extra zzzzz's over the weekend.

I do have to mention though that I am soooo done with being a troop leader for Girl Scouts. Now don't get me wrong, I really enjoy doing this with Isabel. Especially since she loves the fact that it is something we do together with out Tyler or anyone else from the family. Its definitely fun, but seriously I have no energy to make it through the work day nevermind trying to put together something fun and educational for a group of 9-10 year old girls.

THEN there is the fact that of my original troop of 6 girls, I am down to 3 AGAIN! And one of them can't commit to save her life! She keeps signing up for other activities on the nights we meet. Seriously I am of the belief that if you commit to being in a group, on a team, in anything in which you are not the sole participant, you need to COMMIT! There are no excuses. I am trying to instill this in Isabel and Tyler so that they don't become the kids that are constantly joining things only to decide they don't like it or its not convenient and then they drop out and leave the rest of the people hanging. I dont' like that.

So I have been seriously debating on whether to do the same... suck it up and deal with my troop that seems to be dwindling by the minute, or just say F'that... and walk away.

I casually mentioned it to Isabel, and right away she got all upset and reminded me that I this is something we do together. So.. here I am... still trying to figure out what I should do. Any suggestions?

So now I'm off to the gym, even though I really want to go home and just throw myself on the couch, I'm not gonna do it. I'm gonna go sweat a little and feel better for it after... at least that's the game plan!

what part of spring are you???

Since I am infamous for "borrowing" neat things from other's blogs... I wanted to share this one with you that I found on Bookbabie's site. Apparently I have not changed much! Try it and comment on what part of spring you are!

You Are Spring Break
You are fun loving and celebratory. You live for good times with friends and strangers.
You like meeting and mingling. You are a social person by nature.

You like to "play hard"... even if you don't work hard.
You are able to let go of your worries and truly enjoy life.

Wordless Wednesday- Just Hanging Around

I love these pics!
