Did I forget to mention....

I realized yesterday, that I forgot to mention that I am going to Colombia with Carlos and Carlos Sebastian.  Oh and we are leaving on ... WEDNESDAY, October 7th!! 

Unfortunately, Isabel and Tyler aren't coming on this trip because we are going to be gone for 21 days, and I can't pull them out of school for that long.  So they are staying home with their dad, which to them is just as good as any vacation.

I came to the realization today that I am just not that into this trip, and I think its because my babies aren't going to be with me. 

So, I am sitting here thinking that I really should get off my ass and #1 get suitcases and #2 pack those suitcases!  Grrr.... I love to travel but I absolutely hate to pack and unpack.

I guess tomorrow I am going to have to go out and buy some suit cases, the packing isn't a big deal... I always pack like 2 hours before I have to leave for the airport. 

So, I will be posting from Colombia because I will have our laptop, camera and internet.  I will be emailing the kids, and hopefully I'll be able to chat with them online. 

Wish me luck... the last time I traveled with the kids by plane, Tyler was 2 and Isabel was 5... and they did excellent... but Carlos Sebastian is only 2 months old! I'm hoping he won't cry or fuss too much, and that the pressure on the plane doesn't make him uncomfortable.

If you have any suggestions, please let me know.  I think right now I've put more thought into the knitting supplies that I will be taking with me in my carry-on, I gotta make some use of the flight time and layover time!

Here are my answers:

1. Has a relationship been affected by how one of you slept?


Yup... I tend to chit chat in my sleep, in both English and Spanish!!!  Of course this didn't negatively affect my relationship, but it makes for great conversation in the morning!  I have named people in my sleep that maybe I shouldn't have.... but come on now... stop evesdropping on me!





2. What side of the bed do you sleep on?


I like to sleep on the right side of the bed, but was on the left for the last year and then switched back! Can I tell you, it is so hard for me to switch sides!  If given the choice, I'd sleep in the middle of the bed.




3. Do you sleep on your back, side, or stomach?


I sleep on my belly. I will be wide awake, as soon as I lay on my belly... that's it.




4. Describe the bedding on your bed right now. How does it change with the seasons? Are you particular about your pillows or linens?


I have the softest bamboo sheets that I bought from Target and a quilt on my bed.  It really doesn't change other than I wash them, or add a super soft velour blanket on the bed in the winter... that's about it.  I am super particular about both pillows and linens.  ESPECIALLY my pillows... once they flatten out or someone else sleeps on MY pillow... that's it, it is no longer comfy to me.  I don't know man... that's just how things are.


5. When sleeping with someone, do you hog the bed, steal covers, or snore?


I've been told I snore... I have yet to hear myself snore, so I'm not buying it.


I tend to keep to my space... and I do like to hog the covers.

6. What do you wear to bed? If it varies, explain.


In the summer, only if its super hot... I'll sleep in the nude.  I generally wear shorts and a tank top to bed though.  If its cold I'll start off in sweats and socks, and end up in shorts and a tank top.




7. No matter how much you love someone, would you rather sleep alone?


I love sleeping with someone, especially my hubby... but my kids will do too!  Although, I have days when I would rather be left alone!  But don't we all???




8. Tell us about a time when you awoke in bed, saw the person next to you and thought, "Oh, no..."


Oh God!  I beleive we have ALL had this moment... mine was due to a drunk dailing and I woke up in the morning and was like why am I not alone???? ohh well... could have been worse, I guess!




9. Tell us about a time when you awoke thinking it was a different day than it was.


I hate to say this happens more often than not to me... but I think the most memorable would have to be I "over slept" and jumped out of bed, got dressed and ran out the door to the car... to realize I wasn't late for work... it was SATURDAY!  WTF!!!

Ok, so I was on Deb's Crafts blog today and she is running this contest/give away of some really nice cotton yarn.  I was looking through her blog and she does her craft for charity, which is a very noble cause... I need to get my butt in gear and start doing more for charities.

So I am posting this so that you can stop by her blog and take a look and give her site some attention.

Soooo.... What do you think?!?!

In honor of another wonderful year of life, I decided that I was going to try out a new look!

If you know me at all, I am not one to experiment with my hair in any way, shape or form.  Pretty much if I take 4 inches off, I consider that  a HUGE change.  But I've been feeling that I need a new look, something different to make me stand out... or make me look younger... yeah, make me look younger. 

So Carlos said hey why don't you try something out, and I said hmmm I think I can rock that look. 

I had an appointment lined up for a trim, and decided to go for it!  What the hell... worse case scenario I can change it back. 

So... with out drawing this out any more.....

1. If you could have named yourself, which name would you have chosen, and why?

I think I would pick something exotic... Yasmin 



2. If you could relive a year in your life, what age would it be, and why?


I think I would relive the year I was 18-19, I made a lot of stupid choices that year and given the chance I would so do things differently.


3. If you could go back and change one friendship in your past, who would it have been, and why?

I wouldn't change any of them... the friends I have are long time friends that I enjoy talking to and spending time with.... the ones I no longer talk to have all given me good memories and lessons.


4. If you could have dated one person in your past that you did not date, who would it be, and why?


Javier... big highschool crush and we were always just really good friends.  Although I think that if we had dated, it would have ruined the freindship.

5. Apparently #5 is not that important of a question.....


6. If you had the opportunity to live in another country, which one would it be, and why? If you choose NOT to live in another country, why do you want to stay in your current country?

I would love to live in Italy, I think that it has a beautiful history and culture and I would love to experience it more than just on vacation.


7. If you could choose your dream job, what would it be, and why?

I would love to be a lawyer and work for myself... and hopefully within the next year I'll take the LSATs and apply to law school...




8. If you could wish a wish and it be guaranteed to come true (other than riches) what would it be, and why?


That my family could be financially stable and have all we need without excess, this includes my mother, father, sister and my mother-in-law.

9. If you could meet two blogger friends (you may choose more, if you wish) who would they be?


Melanie from Smellyann Strikes Again because I think we would get a long great, and Melanie from Big Mama, she always makes me laugh.
