I'm sooo upset today!!!
I'm sooo upset! I got a great job offer this weekend, I was so excited and happy... yeah no more hating my stupid stupid job. And being the nice person that I am, I decided to tell my potential new employer about being pregnant... WELLL apparently the baby has eaten the "smart" portion of my brain because this was not a good idea by any means. The potential new employer is now pondering if it would be wise to bring me on board to only have me go on an 8 week hiatus of maternity leave! waaaaa!!!!
I did mention to my potential new employer that since my position would give me the ability to work from home, I could go to the office a few days a week and do the rest from home, with no problem... I think this is why he is pondering still.
Pray that he doesn't change his mind and still gives me the job! I am sooo stressed at my current job and I hate it! I was so happy about potentially walking out today a "free" woman and not having to come back here ever again, but that has been put on hold for the next day or so while the potential new employer ponders on the pros and cons of hiring a pregnant woman!!!
I suck for having said anything about being pregnant right??? or did I do the right thing????
Comment, please and tell me what you think!

I think if you withheld the info, got the job, and THEN told them, they'd be pissed. So, it's good that you told them. BUT, it's got to violate some kind of rights for them to not hire you JUST because your pregnant. Good Luck & I'm keeping you/it in my prayers!
I think you did the right thing. It is in God's hands now.
I agree, I think there's got to be some rules against withholding a job because you're pregnant!! Maybe mention that to them, hint hint. LOL Good luck, I hope you get it!
I think it is illegal to not hire you now knowing that you are pregnant esp if he was going to hire you before he knew. It was smart to say something bc they would be pissed if you told them in a few months though!
